Ms. Rushita Ravi Kakadiya

Director, SKMEI India Pvt. Ltd.

Rushita Kakadiya, born on 28th February 1991, an interior designer from the Universal Institute of Design (UID), Surat, Gujarat, before realizing her passion for entrepreneurship, she spent over a decade as a housewife. Always interested in fashion and accessories, Ms. Rushita discovered the true spirit of what a watch expresses — a token of love, respect, and value. She started pursuing her dreams and took a step toward a career by selling watches from home and gaining customers’ trust quickly. She has always had an interest in creativity and design; this helped her to cultivate her credibility in the local market by gaining customer support. Yet, these timekeepers did not offer after-sales services, which led to unmet needs in the market and customer dissatisfaction. 

This realization made her make a firm decision to start a proper business, which would give customers a quality product along with satisfactory service. Ms. Rushita, along with her family friend Mr. Chintan Mangukiya, brought the SKMEI brand to India with legal rights. Together, they looked to create a timepiece brand that provided luxury at an affordable cost, replete with unmatched service to boot. Ms. Rushita, as the Director, manages her role as a mother and a professional by introducing new collections, creating fashion awareness, and producing watches for all generations. She wants SKMEI India to now be part of every next generation, create goodwill across the length and breadth of India, and ensure that when the time comes, she is ready for something big, as huge as an IPO. 

Recognizing service and trust as the core values missing in the segment, they built SKMEI India with a focus on:

• Centralized customer care and post-sales support.

• A wide product line for every age and generation.

Mr. Chintan Premjibhai Mangukiya

Director, SKMEI India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr Chintan Mangukiya was born on 10th July 1993 and graduated with a BCom degree from Sir K.P. College and an LLB from Siddharth Law College, Surat, Gujarat. With one of his friends, he began to trade in imports (ladies’ garments, fabric pieces, and machinery). While this business was a going concern, he conducted some market research and discovered a potential for watches in India. This notion led him to delve into watches and their vast variety available in the Indian market. After analyzing Mr. Chintan and Ms. Rushita, who knew each other as family friends, collaborated and collaborated with SKMEI Global. But due to COVID, the acquisition of legal rights was delayed. Later in January 2023, secured legal rights from SKMEI Global, and on 10th April 2023, SKMEI was registered under the name of SKMEI India Pvt. Ltd. 

After securing the rights, he started his venture with 7 individuals and grew to 45+ skilled and experienced employees, every individual with expertise in their field. He transitioned from manual execution of each process to automating it, ensuring the business operated efficiently with minimal manual involvement. With Mr. Chintan’s knowledge and guidance and with the skills and expertise of the employees, the company began to grow throughout the nation and is acknowledged by the customers through their continuous support. His vision was clear from the very beginning: to reach out to the customers by providing them with the best quality product, and luxury at affordable prices, wherein each person can have a watch that reflects their personality and fits their budget.

From modest beginnings to national recognition, Mr. Chintan Mangukiya’s firm vision and leadership drove SKMEI India forward and will continue to make quality, style, and affordability accessible to every Indian wrist.
